I have been captivated by these wonderfully bazaar creatures as long as i can remember, so every year I make a few mugs both large and small with an Octopus motif.  This offering is one of three or four in this tankard size.  They hold about 18-20oz.  This tankard depicts an Octopus blending into it's environment. The tankard has an amber celadon glaze over various underglazes.

Each Octopus drawn into the clay surface before it hardens.  I draw each Octopus slightly different, but glaze them quite individually.  Thank you for stopping to look.
